TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, NIV
As children, we were told that Jesus would return one day and we waited for His return for years. Many have been anticipating His return; prophecies have been given in the past that He would return on specific dates only to discover that the prophecies never came to pass. Consider this: if the Bible spoke of His birth and it came to pass, surely if the same Bible speaks of His return, it will surely come to pass.
Christ’s Second Coming will be more glorious than His first. He was born in a manger but He will return in glory and splendour. He was born a baby but He will return as the Mighty King, Warrior and Judge. His second coming can be described as the “convocation of all ages.” Those who have died, knowing the Lord, will rise first and those who are alive and have chosen to obey Him will join Him in the air.
Christ will surely return. Are you prepared? Is Jesus your Saviour and Lord? Are you living to please Him daily? Does God approve of the life you live behind closed doors? Ponder on these and make adjustments where necessary.

That Christ will come again to judge the world is neither a joke not a cliché to the wise. – Femi Okunlola
