Titus 3:1-7

“…that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”  Titus 1:7, NKJV
James was a four-year-old boy who was taught by his Sunday School teacher that if we die, we will rise and live forever. The same week, James’ favourite dog died in an auto crash, he watched as his father dragged the dog to bury it, he kept going to the spot to check if his dog is back alive and expressed his disappointment to his father and how possibly untrue what his teacher taught him was.

Spiritual truths cannot be understood by children. As a Christian you have the hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus, sealed by the presence of the Holy Spirit in you. In view of this hope, we are urged to obey all authorities and be ready for every good work, speak evil of no one and be gentle so as not to condemn ourselves for our past life. This hope was delivered to us through “the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man… not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy he saved us…” We are to walk patiently in this hope, knowing that faithful is He who has promised us.

• Birthday Blessing:

Read Bible Through Passage: Joshua 19, 20; Luke 8:1-15

The hope of eternal life keeps candidates of heaven, strong in battle, focused in vision, consistent in the storm of life.
